Elevate FAQs

Elevate is for professionals on track for an internal work promotion who want to invest in their development and improve their chances of promotion success. Whether you’re just beginning your promotion journey, or if you’ve previously gone through the process before but were unsuccessful, Elevate gives you that extra support to get you ready for the next level.

I have worked with various promotion processes and timelines. Elevate can be adapted to suit your organisation’s timeline and requirements. 

Everyone has different strengths and areas for development during a promotion process, so that’s why Elevate is tailored to your specific needs. Not everyone needs to work on interview panel readiness; for others it might be being more visible at senior levels or addressing some difficult feedback. This ensures you receive the exact support required to achieve your promotion readiness goals.

Ideally, you would start working with me around 12 months before your likely promotion, to give us enough time to fully address your development needs and prepare you for the next level. However, I’ve worked with less than 3 months in the past! So I’ll always do what is reasonably possible to support you.

Not all organisations have a clear process but Elevate can be adapted to help you figure out the steps you need to take and ensure you have everything covered.

There isn’t a fixed timeframe because each promotion is unique to each person. Some senior promotion processes can take 12 months (or more) to prepare for, whereas some can take 3-6 months. It all depends on your development needs and where you are on the timeline. You’ll see your progress as we go along, which will guide us.

Coaching sessions take place online, with slots available from 8:00am. The programme begins with a 90-minute orientation session to define your specific promotion readiness goals and your measures of success. This forms the coaching plan, which guides the rest of the programme and enables you to clearly track your progress along the way. 

There will typically be pre-work before we start and ‘homework’ in between sessions including a promotion action plan to ensure you are always moving forward.

The investment for Elevate starts from £2,500 for 6 months of support with 8 online sessions. I can provide a confirmed price based on your promotion timeline and your development needs. There are no hidden costs.
