Team Coaching

Solving complex problems…together

Today’s teams face bigger challenges than ever. The world is evolving at a rapid pace within unpredictable global environments, creating complex organisational problems that demand greater levels of collaboration to stay ahead.

Team Coaching is a great way to unlock your whole team’s creativity and help you address complex problems. Whether you’re a newly team needing to unite, or a seasoned team needing a refresh (or anywhere in between!), Team Coaching will help you nurture healthier working relationships and face difficult problems head on, together.

Here are some of the benefits your team could gain from Team Coaching:

  • Improved communication and greater collaboration, even across virtual and multiple teams
  • Breaking down barriers and working beyond silos
  • Better team decision making
  • Increased motivation and commitment
  • Unlocking creativity
  • Building a team’s tolerance and understanding towards each other
  • Adapting faster and being more agile with change
  • Managing the expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Create lasting solutions rather than short-term fixes
  • Embed coaching skills into your normal daily routines.

“Not finance. Not Strategy. Not Technology. It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare.”

Patrick Lencioni, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, 2002

Introducing Systemic Team Coaching

I work with a Systemic Team Coaching approach. It’s a form of coaching for your whole team across workshops, in team meetings and stakeholder engagements. As you can see in the diagram, it begins with the individuals in the team and then moves outwards, taking into account interpersonal elements, the teams’ purpose, what value the team brings to its stakeholders and what considerations need to be brought in from the wider global system and environment.

Rather than being focused in on themselves, systemic team coaching helps teams to step back and see the whole organisational system, and the part the need to play in creating success. This enables teams to thrive better in complexity, deal with the real underlying issues and co-create real value for all stakeholder groups.
