Feeling stuck in your current job?
- Do you feel stuck in your current job and have lost your confidence?
- Are you ready to change your career, move on after redundancy but don’t know what to do next or where to start?
- Have you already applied for lots of other jobs with no success?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, maybe it’s time to get some help and support?
Finding a new job can feel like a full-time activity!
You already know that finding a new job isn’t easy. It can take hours and hours of your time painstakingly completing one job application after another. It can feel really demoralising to put so much effort in and not even get a response, or any useful feedback. If you’re lucky enough to get through to an interview, it’s a panic to get ready – how will you come across? What if you don’t know what to say or you say the wrong thing? Then there’s the big question about whether or not it’s the right job for you…how do you know you’ll enjoy it? What if it isn’t your ideal career after all?
Staying motivated throughout such a challenging time can be really tough. If you’ve been struggling alone to find yourself a new job, why not try Career Coaching?
5 Steps to Career Success
My online Career Change Programme will give you help, support and encouragement to get you back on track to career success. Together we’ll explore your ambitions, aspirations and opportunities, getting really clear on what you want from your career. We’ll re-evaluate your career options and find ways to make the most of your skills, strengths and experience. We’ll look at how well your current CV shows you in the best light and get you ready for those all-important interviews. You’ll deepen your self-understanding and develop strategies to stay resilient and focused.
Career Change Coaching isn’t Careers Advice – but I can help you figure out what’s best for you, your career and your life. My programme will challenge your thinking, keep you moving forward and help you re-gain your confidence. It will require your hard work, commitment and perseverance in order to maximise your chances of success. But I’ll be there to support you through every step, keeping you on track with sessions every 2-4 weeks to keep you moving in the right direction.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Step 1: Take Stock: We’ll review your career to date and build your Career Capital. We’ll figure out how you can make the most of your skills, abilities and experience. We’ll look deeper to find out what’s really important to you about your career.
Step 2: Design: What do you want from your career? From discovering your life’s purpose to finding a short term ‘stepping stone’ option or somewhere in between.
Step 3: Apply: Review your learning so far and apply it to your CV, job applications cover letter etc.
Step 4: Review: What has worked so far, what else needs to happen and where do you go from here? What opportunities can you take advantage of now? What else might get in your way of success?
Step 5: Action Planning: What actions are you going to take?
If it’s not Careers Advice, how does it work?
Career Coaching is designed to help you think for yourself. During the sessions, I’ll be asking you some questions and helping you think through the things you find most tricky about getting a new job. They’ll help you think a bit differently and find out some stuff you didn’t realise you knew. Here are just some of the types of questions – why not try them for yourself:
What do you really, really want from your career?
What's missing from your career?
What difference do you want to make?
What are your personal and professional strengths?
What gets you fired up with energy?
